The Special Forces Association Chapter 4-24 will be participating in “In Their Honor Veterans Day Parade” in downtown Colorado Springs on 9 November 2024 starting at 1100. For those who would like to participate will meet at the South West corner of Tejon and Rio Grande, which is a parking lot directly across the street (Tejon) from the VFW 101, NLT
0830 on 9 November 2024 in order to prep our vehicles for the parade prior to moving to the staging area. We will then move from the parking lot to our staging area, which is in front of Chase Bank on the West side of Tejon Street between Willamette Street and St Vrain Street, NLT 0930. There is no POV parking at the staging area. If you’re participating in the parade you might be able to find a parking spot along Cascade and then walk to the staging area. We must be in our staging area NLT 1000. The parade will start at 1100.
The parade ends at Tejon and Vermijo Street.
If you have an old uniform or a new uniform wear it with pride. Be prepared for a cold morning. I will have coffee and doughnuts at the parking lot.
Just a few reminders:
No Handouts. Reminder, there are no handouts of any kind (paper or
candy) from any entries during the parade.
Please follow instructions of all Staging Crew Members–they are there for the safety of all! They will be walking around wearing what we would call Road Guard Vests.
